Here's your answer: They were closed down for reasons that will not be public until the admins decide it is time to reveal so. Some people, like MarkJira and I, know why, but we can not tell you as we aren't permitted to do so.
I tried messaging KOTM about this but I don't know where he is, so I figured I'd let you know about this. More Sockpuppets from our favorite user have popped up on here on that one thread: Here are some of them.
Looks like we've got 2 users who can't leave well enough alone...
BillsOfBalls has been recently banned on Zilla Fanon Wiki due to attempted Sockpuppetry while already being given a 1-week ban out of concern that be might be one of DOS's sockpuppets. I told him I'd give him a week just to be safe, as well as that his fanon was in script format and that it was in need of revisement. He didn't wait and listen and got a sockpuppet account of his own to post his story and now he's bringing the same type of crap onto ZFW as well (his fanon is known as "Godzilla vs. Gamera (Mega Crossover)," think of it as like one of those garbage "Pooh's Adventures in XXX" crossovers you find on DA and YouTube...)
Like the first guy, could you keep an eye out for these stories and ban him and delete his content whenever you visit ZFW?
GI, I have a task that maybe you could help do. Can you keep a track of all edits done here, and, transfer them? Maybe, at the end of the day, or at the end of 2 or 3 days, you can add all the edits done here over the course of the day? Use Special:RecentChanges, add any new images uploaded here. You'll have to start off by going back a few days, maybe since a week ago, and track any new data added there and transfer it. Please help do this, no one else can really help. I still need all the images, we're needing like 8,000 more or so.
Alright, I permabanned him under the impression that he was one of them since I noticed a lot of places he edits are very similar to where DOS edits as well. In the event that they are separate people though, I've shortened his ban to a week, just to be safe.
For some reason, Titanollante is allowing anonymous IPs to edit the site. Given that this effectively makes the entire place into a vandalism magnet, I'd say it's best that we return to making new users have to create a Wikia account before editing. I know he wants a larger user base, but this is not how you do it, and I'm sure Wikia will issue stern reprimands to us if they discover this Wiki being vandalised, given its importance.
As in, change which group of users get to edit the pages. I know we could just go about changing the page protection, but I thought the pages were all restricted so that only registered users could edit them. Given that a few anons got in and were editing the pages, I'm not sure if that's the case.
It's simple, really. Keep the page editing restricted so that only autoconfirmed users can edit. That way, the wiki can be maintained in such a way that Wikia doesn't get upset due to vandalism. That's the way it was before, and it got us this far.
